Incredible “Wizard Of Oz” Performance By High School Dance Wows At Homecoming

The PAC dance team from Walden Grove High School amazed the Internet with their homecoming rally performance inspired by “The Wizard of Oz.”

The performance begins with a striking black-and-white scene featuring “Dorothy” alone on stage. She sings a timeless tune from “The Wiz,” setting a nostalgic tone that instantly grabs the audience’s attention. The scene is simple yet powerful, drawing viewers into the familiar world of Dorothy Gale before her whirlwind adventure begins.

As the performance progresses, the dancers cleverly use a blanket to depict the iconic tornado that whisks Dorothy away to the enchanting realm of Oz.

The way they used props highlights the team’s creative storytelling approach through dance. Once in Oz, Dorothy is welcomed by the Munchkins, and the pace quickens with a lively mix of contemporary songs.

The dancers’ synchronization and enthusiasm are infectious, making it impossible not to smile along with them. The energy of the performance captures the essence of the magical land and its inhabitants.

Each main character from “The Wizard of Oz” is introduced with a song that humorously fits their personality and story.

The Scarecrow dances onto the stage to Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Membrane,” giving his character a playful twist. The Cowardly Lion roars into the spotlight with Katy Perry’s fitting anthem “Roar” that captures his struggle with bravery in a fun and relatable way.

The Wicked Witch, always the antagonist, makes her entrance accompanied by Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” setting the tone with its intense vibes.
