Shy Singer Belted Out 1937 Hit, To End In Tears From Simon’s Words

Standing on stage and performing in front of a sea of people can be nerve-wracking. Many feel that way, but having the courage to do it shows your passion and determination outweigh your fear.

That’s the case with Alice Fredenham, a contestant on the talent show “Britain’s Got Talent.”

During her audition, Alice admitted to the judges that she struggled with stage fright and had hesitated to compete. She was nervous because she doubted her own talent and wanted to prove to herself and her friends that she was worthy.

When asked who was there to support her, Alice revealed she had come alone, preferring that no one she knew would witness her if she failed.

Despite her nerves, Alice started her performance with a 1937 classic, “My Funny Valentine,” from the musical “Babe in Arms.”

Initially hesitant, she soon found her confidence and settled into the song. Her unique talent quickly became evident as her enchanting, smooth voice filled the room. Alice’s singing style is both classic and timeless that enchanted everyone there.

The audience erupted in cheers, rising to their feet in excitement. Simon Cowell himself stood and applauded, showering her with praise. He said, “Wow! This is what I have been waiting for. You look amazing and your voice is like liquid gold. I think you’re so special.”

Tears filled Alice’s eyes as the other judges expressed their admiration. Amanda Holden described her voice as “mesmerizing and sultry,” while David Walliams remarked, “You sing like a Goddess.”

As expected, Alice moved on to the next round. It demonstrates that no matter how nervous you may feel, if you believe in yourself, nothing could hold you back.
