This Dancing Couple Rumbled The Stage With Their Enchanting “Honky Tonk Women” Grooves

Let’s get your feet moving with this dynamic duo! Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle, a duo known for their mesmerizing dance performances, left a memorable mark on the world of dance sports with what many consider one of the most captivating routines ever seen on stage.

Their harmonious collaboration brought to life an unforgettable routine set to Travis Tritt’s rendition of the Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Women,” earning them adoration and respect within country music and dance communities alike.

Jason Colacino, whose life was tragically cut short just before his 32nd birthday on August 9, 2009, left behind a legacy through videos that continue to showcase his incredible talent alongside Katie Boyle. Born on August 20, 1977, in San Leandro, California, and later making New York City his home, Jason embarked on his dance journey as a teenager with a passion for country line dancing.

His versatility knew no bounds, mastering an array of dance styles including Salsa, Swing, Argentine Tango, Jazz, Ballet, and Ballroom. His expertise not only led him to compete internationally but also to share his knowledge as a teacher, choreographer, and judge. It’s a shame he left us so soon, but may he still find his groove on Heaven.

Meanwhile, Katie Boyle stands as a titan in the ballroom dance world, both as a revered choreographer and a dancer of exceptional skill. Starting her dance exploration at the tender age of two, Katie has since become proficient in numerous dance styles. Her foundation in classical ballet provided her with the tools to excel and innovate in her dance career, propelling her to significant acclaim and respect.

The term “Honky Tonk,” historically associated with public bars offering live music to a working-class clientele, now broadly refers to country western-style bars known for their vibrant live music scenes. Jason and Katie’s performance, set against the backdrop of such culturally rich music, perfectly encapsulated the spirit and energy of the honky-tonk ambiance on all who witness their artistry.

It’s a shame that we won’t get to see Jason and Katie perform mesmerizing dances together again, but this dazzling display of theirs will forever live in our hearts as a testament to their immense talent and synergy.
