Everyone has their own favorite singers, and getting the chance to perform with them is a dream come true. While some are lucky enough to be invited on the stage of their idols, a few take matters into their own hands.
Nicole, a passionate country music fan, achieved a lifelong goal when she got the chance to sing on stage with country star Lee Brice at his concert in Virginia. Aware that her moment would be brief, she spent months practicing, hoping to perform with her idol.
About two weeks before Brice’s show on July 30, 2023, a clip Nicole shared on social media began to go viral. In the video, she said, “Hi Mr. Brice, my name is Nicole, I will be at your concert July 30 in Virginia, and I think I would do just about anything to sing this song with you.” Nicole expressed her dream of singing a song with him, then turned up her car radio and flawlessly sang along.

Nicole later posted another video to update her followers, revealing that her wish had reached Brice. He invited her to join him on stage to perform “I Hope You’re Happy Now.” She then wrote in the caption, “Lee Brice, Thank you so much for making this possible! You and your team are simply amazing.”
She shared, “About an hour before Lee Brice was supposed to go on stage, I get this DM from one of his music producers, and on TikTok, I get a message from his drummer.”
At first, she thought the messages might be fake because it seemed too incredible to be real. But it didn’t take long for her to realize that it was indeed Brice’s actual team trying to get her on stage.
“So then two songs before the one that I was supposed to sing, one of the tour managers was texting me and was like, ‘Hey, come meet me over in this area.’ And I get over there and he’s got backstage passes from me and my two friends that were with me. And that’s like really when I was like, ‘this is happening. What the heck?’”
She continued, “So they take us backstage. We were rushing because it was only two songs before the one that I was supposed to sing and they accidentally took me to the wrong side of the stage first, and then we had to literally run around the stage to get to the correct side so that the crew could put the in-ear things in me and stuff, which I’ve never worn those before. I’ve never even sung in a microphone before,” she admitted.

Once everything was set backstage, Nicole finally had her moment. Introduced by the “One Of Them Girls” singer, she walked onto the stage and met Brice for the first time.
Nicole started singing, and Brice soon joined in, their voices blending beautifully in a duet that originally featured Carly Pearce.
“We had no rehearsal. Like I literally just met him the second my feet hit the stage, and it was my first time seeing it in front of a crowd,” she recalled, reliving the excitement of that unforgettable night.
