Brenden, born in 2002, was one of only 32 people in the world to be diagnosed with Desbuquois syndrome. Despite his rare condition, he lived with an inspiring spirit and showed the world the power of kindness. His attitude captured the attention of ABC News, which covered his extraordinary generosity.

They interviewed his father, Chris Baker, who said, “I think this is just Brenden, this is just him doing what he does. He cares more about other people than he does himself. That’s what amazes me about this kid. He’s got such a big heart. For most kids on their birthdays, they just want their presents. Not him. He’s just different.”

Determined to make a difference, Brenden set a goal to raise $3,000 for a local children’s charity. He expressed his desire to bring joy to kids by providing them with toys to brighten their lives.
