The woman skillfully played Franz Liszt’s famous Hungarian Rhapsody No.2, one of his 19 rhapsodies composed between 1846 and 1853. Her rendition of the song was effortless, accompanied by a beaming smile on her face.
During their visit to Russia, the YouTube channel “Life Goes On In Iran” captured a video in 2018 that has since gone viral. As of February 2024, the video has amassed nearly 6 million views.
In the video, faint squeaking sounds can be heard in the background, prompting many viewers to comment on the piano’s aged condition. Being a street piano, it is likely to have endured significant use from passers-by.
However, despite its condition, the enigmatic woman showcased her talent with grace, undeterred by the drawbacks. This only added to the impressiveness of her performance.
