Blind, Autistic 7-Year-Old Girl Sings “Stand By Me” And Many Can’t Hold Their Tears
If someone asks us where the positive energy and extraordinary can be found, we would say “Watch this video”. It captures the heartwarming moment when a street musician meets a young blind girl, a scene that will renew your faith in humanity.
During a stroll through Grimsby’s town center, seven-year-old Lacie and her grandmother came across Clifford Woodage, a busker strumming gentle melodies on his guitar.
Lacie’s grandmother wheeled her closer to the musician, who kindly crouched down to play for the young girl. Entranced, Lacie listened intently and even joined in with her own sweet voice, singing along to the music.
TenKCliff reached over and gently guided Lacie’s hand to rest on his guitar. As she began strumming along, her face lit up with joy, her smile warming everyone’s hearts.
Together, they created a harmonious melody. They sang a soulful duet of ‘Stand by Me’, with TenKCliff smoothly transitioning through chords while Lacie skillfully strummed the strings. Her voice shined brightly, adding depth to their performance.
Clifford shared, “She could hear the music and got excited so her grandma let her stop and listen. She told me that she was blind but for me I didn’t see that. She is autistic but again I saw a very intelligent seven-year-old girl.”
“Honestly her voice was just beautiful, I said to her give me a high give and I took her hand and bounced my hand off hers. He added, “When the time came for her to leave I said ‘High Five’ and she hit my hand with a high five no hesitation and was right on target.”
“I was super blessed that day, that is the power of music and a connection right there.”
