How do you feel when you see a 60-year-old man dancing on a pole? You will be blown away, won’t you? It’s not common to see someone his age doing something so unexpected and downright cool. It is inspiring. So, today, we’d like to introduce you to a guy named Allan Reinikka at 61 years old who proves that you’re never too old to chase your passions and break some boundaries while you’re at it.
Allan comes from Planet Rockhampton in Australia. He is a burly, balding dule but don’t let that fool you. When asked if he’s gonna break the pole or dance on it, Allan just chuckles and says, “A bit of both. I’ll make it bend a little”. This went down on Australia’s Got Talent 2022 and the video of Allan’s audition has racked up a whopping 3.5 million views. It’s insane, but also pretty darn inspiring.

Allan’s tattooed and muscular, rocking boxer-style shorts and a vest but don’t get it twisted – his act ain’t about getting all steamy and sensual. It’s more like a workout routine. He holds onto that pole like it’s nobody’s business, pulling off some seriously tricky moves. It’s not some fancy, choreographed dance routine you’d see from a lithe dancer. It’s pure Allan Reinikka, and it’s hilarious. He can twist and turn like that at his age and with his build and that’s truly impressive.
Allan inspired everyone “Doesn’t matter how old you are, get out and have a go, you will surprise yourself and everybody else with what you can do.” Nicole Aitken totally agrees. She’s like, “Honestly, good on him for even giving it a go and for being open-minded enough to not feel today’s stigma attached to pole dancing and the way people look.”
