No,, you did exactly the right thing. She should have obeyed the one simple rule. And repeatedly! She clearly thinks she’s more important than your wife or respecting your home. The curb is that way—>
You are NTA, you gave her simple rules and she couldn’t follow them if her and her husband were on the rocks, why didn’t he leave and she stayed in the home. The family bitching about this can take her and her child in then.
Did the right thing. The sister is a user (that’s clear) and cannot be trusted. I don’t even believe that she would have left before the baby came. Let the relatives that said he was wrong take her and her mucher-in-training daughter in and then see what they say.
