Trisha Yearwood And Amy Grant’s “Sing Your Praise To The Lord” Duet Enchants CMA Country Christmas Viewers
The 2024 CMA Country Christmas special brought back Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant for another unforgettable evening of holiday magic. For the second year in a row, the duo served as both hosts and performers, adding their personal touch to the event in Nashville, Tennessee. Both artists have a deep connection to Christmas, making them the perfect choice to lead the celebration.
In addition to hosting, Yearwood and Grant teamed up for a beautiful performance of Grant’s classic 1982 hit, “Sing Your Praise to the Lord.” Written by Christian music icon Rich Mullins, the song was the lead single from Grant’s groundbreaking album Age to Age.
Though Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant have crossed paths at countless events over the years, the 2023 CMA Country Christmas special marked the first time they had a chance to truly connect and enjoy each other’s company. For their collaboration, a viewer said, “I’m not overly religious, yet this was outstanding, kudos to Amy and Trish!”
Remember on the 2023 special, Yearwood said, “I’m most looking forward to singing with you, Amy, because, I mean, we’ve known each other. We see each other at events and we get to hang out a little bit.” She added, “But to get really to spend some time together has been really nice.”
Grant agreed, saying, “Crazy thing is, I mean, Vince [Gill] has known you for a long time and loved you, and you feel so familiar to me. That’s been my biggest excitement about this and sharing music [together].”
