The real-life great-grandchildren of the Von Trapp family appeared at an office in Columbus, Ohio, and put on an unforgettable impromptu performance. Singing there was not their initial plan, however, when a staff member discovered who they were and kindly requested a performance of “Edelweiss,” they agreed. This spontaneous performance by the relatives of a well-known musical family was deemed to be “out of the goodness of their hearts.”
Luckily, someone recorded their beautiful performance, harmonizing flawlessly as the four singers. An office staff member uploaded it on social media, and it gained widespread attention. You can watch it on a YouTuber called “FIGBAR FILMS” and the owner of the channel explained what happened that day.

The amazing performance was shot in 2013 while they were working on an album with Jack Hanna (who evidently is a 5 star yodeler). They graciously agreed to sing for the staff and this was greatly appreciated. A decade went by and as of early 2024, the video hit nearly 4 million views and received thousands of positive comments.
Many admitted that they couldn’t hold back tears when “these kids” sang this song. They were reminiscent of the Von Trapp family, and people appreciate their courage in making a brave decision to risk their life and leave Nazi Germany.
A person wrote, “It was sheer courage and grit to press forward by faith. It blesses me so much to see their great grandchildren happy and free in America over 7 decades later singing this beautiful song to honor their history. We should all be inspired to be this courageous.”
In addition, there are also numerous comments praising their singing voices. A person commented, “How beautiful!
