The Golden Buzzer Performance By 15-Year-Old Sarah Ikumu Is Brimming With Soul

15-year-old Sarah Ikumu captivated the audience and judges on Britain’s Got Talent with her powerful and soulful voice. Her rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls showcased her remarkable talent, leaving judge Alesha Dixon in awe of her vocal prowess.

Hailing from Milton Keynes, Sarah not only displayed impressive technical command over her voice but also exuded a confident and sassy attitude that had the audience on their feet and cheering before she even finished singing.

Among the many talented contestants on the show, Sarah stood out as the cream of the crop. Recognizing her immense potential, Simon Cowell immediately pressed the golden buzzer, igniting an electric reaction from the crowd.

Watch her impressive performance in the video below:

Sarah screamed with joy and jumped up and down after Cowell hit the buzzer, while her proud parents celebrated in the audience.

Cowell began the judges’ comments, saying, “Sarah I’ve heard this song a lot. It started off really well and I thought ‘yeah this girl’s great.’ And then it was like you became possessed halfway through. It was quite incredible. And for someone of your age to stand on this stage, with all the nerves and all the pressure, to not just nail the song but you made it your song.”

Amanda Holden was thrilled about the golden buzzer, calling the performance mind-blowing, especially considering the singer’s age of 15. Alesha Dixon, impressed by the talent, remarked that having such skills at that age is insane.

David Walliams playfully said, “Yeah, it was alright,” to Sarah’s song but then admitted her performance was fantastic. Sarah’s entire family, along with Ant and Dec on the side of the stage, looked really happy to see her succeed, which was heartwarming.
