Sydnie Christmas Won Over Simon With Her Beautiful Rendition Of “Tomorrow”
Sydnie Christmas, 28, made her mark on Britain’s Got Talent 2024 with a distinctive charm reminiscent of a Catherine Tate Show character.
Coming from Kent, the girl captivated judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli with her humor and aspirations for a career in London’s West End.
She came to the show without the idea of ending up becoming the winner. At the audition of BGT’s 17th season, the 28-year-old surprised everyone by choosing to perform “Tomorrow,” one of Simon Cowell’s most hated songs.

Sydnie began her song with a gentle, enchanting melody that moved her family in the audience to tears almost instantly. As she continued, her jazzy piano accompaniment gave a fresh twist to the 80s original but kept the essence of musical theater with its heartfelt magic
Her voice was absolutely impeccable. Simon Cowell glanced at the other judges, surprised but impressed, while Alesha appeared mesmerized and Amanda visibly charmed.
Right after Sydie’s final note faded out, Alesha, Amanda, and Bruno immediately leaped to their feet to applaud, joined by the entire audience. Simon, known for his tough critiques, shocked himself by also standing and applauding enthusiastically.
He shared with Sydnie, “I used to hate that song, and now I absolutely love it. Good for you, that was absolutely brilliant.”
With great compliments from all four judges, Amanda awarded Sydnie Christmas the Golden Buzzer with no hesitation. Overwhelmed with emotion, Sydnie collapsed onto the stage floor, tears of joy streaming down her face. This unforgettable moment catapulted her straight into the live shows.
