Sydney Opera House Erupted As Hanson Took On Bee Gees Acapella – No Microphones Needed!

During a Hanson show in the Sydney Opera House, fans were treated to a special moment when the pop trio performed an acapella rendition of the Bee Gees’ classic “Too Much Heaven” without the aid of microphones.

Following their set, the three brothers set aside their instruments for a more intimate performance, showcasing their incredible voices and harmonies that reminded everyone why they were such beloved stars back in the day.

This acapella performance was particularly fitting for Hanson, as they actually began their musical journey as an acapella group in the early ’90s, recording timeless rock hits together. The Sydney Opera House provided the perfect setting for this captivating performance, as the renowned venue was designed to allow orchestras to perform without the need for amplification.

You can watch this mesmerizing performance below, which has garnered over 2.6 million views on YouTube.

Nicole Thompson, a devoted Hanson fan who uploaded the video, shared that this acapella encore was the only one given during the String Theory Tour, which supported their studio album of the same name. Thompson expressed how fans were truly spoiled with this unique and special treat from the talented trio, saying, “spoiled rotten with this unique treat from the guys.”

The comment session is filled with great compliments from viewers from around the world. One wrote, “Flawless. Acapella is not an easy thing to do plus key changes. I am a singer and I don’t think people realize just how much talent you need to create what they sang the way they sang it. It was such a brilliant song for them to do. Incredibly beautiful. It really just made you freeze in time and appreciate the moment.”

Another added, ‘It NEVER gets old! This is probably my favorite cover they have ever done and I LOVE that they took advantage of the opportunity to perform it in the Sydney Opera House!”
