Michael Bublé Turned Heads With Impromptu Acapella Show In Nyc Subway

Michael Bublé, the Canadian star, created quite a scene in a subway station in New York City with a breathtaking acapella performance alongside the vocal group Naturally 7.

During the performance, Bublé sang “Who’s Lovin’ You” from his album To Be Loved, which received immense praise not only in person but also online, garnering over 5.6 million views on the accompanying video.

Known for his spontaneous public appearances, Bublé expressed his excitement after the subway performance.

He said, “That was the coolest thing ever. That is when you know you’ve made it. Singing in the New York subway is something that’s been done for years and years. I feel like that’s the most authentic, organic way to make music. You see some of the greatest musicians in the world come down here and play.”

Bublé also mentioned how the subway’s architecture enhanced the sound, explaining, “The tiles create this fantastic resonance. Among all the interviews and events I’ve had to do, this was what I was most thrilled about.”

He playfully added, mimicking a New Yorker’s accent, “I feel like a real New Yorker now.”

Interestingly, the completely acapella subway performance of “Who’s Lovin’ You” gained even more popularity on YouTube than the full production studio recording, accumulating over double the number of views.

It’s worth noting that the song was originally written and recorded in 1960 by singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson for his Motown vocal group, The Miracles.
