Listen To The Men’s Bathroom Choir’s Quirky Version Of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”
The Men’s Bathroom Choir, true to their name, have a unique gimmick that sets them apart, but their vocal talent is what truly shines. This 14-piece group received numerous requests to perform “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” and when they finally did, they nailed it.
Their rendition of the classic folk song was mostly acapella, with only a hi-hat and some percussion for accompaniment. Lead vocalist Timofei Sennikov showcased an impressive falsetto vocal during the performance, while the other members delivered with style in a complex vocal arrangement. It’s no wonder that “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” is their most popular song on YouTube, with 5.7 million views.
Prepare yourself to be amazed with their impressive performance:
Countless compliments are seen in the comment section, applauding their vocals and attitudes such as “These kids hitting the high notes are actually blessed with the voice they have.”
We see several funny comments like “Imagine someone complains about how crowded the bathroom is and a teacher walks in here expecting to see a bunch of boys fooling around but is greeted by a heavenly choir in a bathroom decked with props.”
For those unfamiliar with the group, The Men’s Bathroom Choir was formed by students from Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. Founded by Sennikov when he was 18 in 2020, the group discovered the pleasant acoustics of the school’s Building 5 restroom and began meeting twice a week during lunchtime to arrange and perform music together.
We hope to see more inspiring performances like that in the future.
