Elderly Twins Amaze With Their High-Energy “Bye Bye Bye” Dance Routine
Wayne and Dwayne Haneline, twin brothers from North Carolina, have become internet stars at 76 years old with their infectious dance videos. Their rise to fame began when Wayne’s daughter introduced them to TikTok. Initially unsure of the platform, Wayne joined his daughter for a dance video, not expecting much.
Wayne recalled, “She would come home and say, ‘Dad, I need you to do a short dance with me. I’m going to put this video on TikTok.’ And I said, ‘Hunny, what is TikTok?’ She said, ‘Just do the dance. Do the dance with me daddy.’ So I did the dance I didn’t think much of it. And she comes back to me and says ‘Dad, we have to do this again, this has gone viral.’ And I said, ‘What does that mean?’”
The twin brothers decided to launch their own TikTok account, and it quickly gained popularity. Their videos are a mix of fun, creativity, and heart, from energetic dance routines to comedic skits and meaningful tributes to iconic musicians. They’ve been known to channel the energy of legends like Chubby Checker, ZZ Top, and the Blues Brothers.
One of their most popular videos features a high-energy dance to NSYNC’s classic “Bye Bye Bye.” The track, released in January 2000, is paired with matching outfits — Wayne sporting a beard and Dwayne clean-shaven — as they groove in sync, complete with caps, cross necklaces, and casual pants. The energy and precision in their moves make it one of their most popular clips.
