Brian May And Freddie Mercury Hologram Created An Emotional Acoustic Version Of “Love Of My Life”

Brian May has been enchanting audiences with a unique spectacle since the 2012 We Will Rock You Tour – a holographic performance featuring the legendary Freddie Mercury. The format of this mesmerizing interlude has remained consistent over the years.

Brian May took the stage, sitting on a stool up front and beginning a solo acoustic rendition of the iconic “Love of My Life.” As the song gracefully started, the atmosphere became charged with anticipation.

In a breathtaking moment, Freddie Mercury’s hologram emerged, seamlessly taking over the vocals from Brian May. The contrast between Mercury’s soaring delivery and May’s more restrained singing style created a powerful dynamic.

As the final notes resonated, Freddie extended his hand towards his guitarist counterpart. In response, May reached out, as if attempting to grasp Freddie’s hand. Despite the repetition of this poignant exchange after countless shows, May remained visibly moved.

Sometimes, he waved a heartfelt goodbye, and on occasion, a tear was shed, encapsulating the profound emotion evoked by this extraordinary musical journey. Watch the emotional video capturing these moments below.

The video of the amazing performance was shared widely on social media. Notably, many YouTube channels re-uploaded this video and got many positive comments. Plenty of viewers shared that they couldn’t hold their tears when watching this video.

One wrote, “This moment if the concerts always brings tears. I see Brian is able to let his emotions show more, & that’s great. He’s braver than I’d be having this song done this way, but after so many years doing it together, it’s almost a necessity for him and in turn, it gives fans a chance to rejoice & remember ‘what he means to them’ and s moment of group therapy for all, including Brian.”
