A Reddit user describes a family dispute over a birthday trip to Ireland. When her sister asked if she and her young daughter were invited to join, both the user and her parents made it clear they hadn’t planned on including them.
The sister felt excluded and argued that she’s often left out of family trips, but the Redditor maintained that having her niece along would change the dynamic of the trip. Was she too harsh, or is she justified in wanting this trip to be for her birthday celebration alone? Read her story below.

We need more context here. Dod the parents also take the sister on trips before ,what’s the family dynamics ? If they have money to take her on 3 trips why not what’s the problem. I went once to Paros with my mom for my 30 th , why not travel with parents of you can ? Are the parents paying everything or are you chipping in? Are they paying for your sisters trips of she wanted to go ? If they only pay for you and never anything for your sister then they are a…s. You are not the a…e for not wanting to travel with a toddler, but you are the a…e for how you said to your sister.
