    This is the problem letting family move in, they start to become entitled. It’s not something I would have done. BUT, I think you now need a proper discussion about this and offer your daughter first refusal on buying the house.
    Really she should not have made any alterations to the house IMO, without first discussing it with you.
    Mistakes have been made on both sides so I don’t think your fully to blame.
