Air Supply Serenades Fans With “Lost In Love” Live At Church Studio

In 2023, Australian duo Air Supply brought their timeless soft pop to life in a special acoustic performance for Church Studio’s Legacy Concert Series. This intimate show, limited to just 100 lucky fans, showcased their enduring hits and lasting chemistry.

Decades after releasing their debut single, they continue to captivate audiences. Their acoustic rendition of a classic track has since gained over 3 million views on YouTube, proving that even after nearly 50 years, their music still resonates with fans around the world.

One of the men in the clip is English singer Graham Russell and even after decades, his voice is still smooth and powerful. The chemistry between him and his bandmate, Russell Hitchcock shines as they shuffle across the stage.

At times, Graham adds humor to the show by encouraging the audience to join in. In a touching moment, they pause completely, allowing their intimate crowd to sing the chorus, creating a beautiful connection.

Their harmonies are flawless, and Graham’s playful ad-libs add charm to the final chorus. It’s heartwarming to see the older audience sing along to every word, as if transported back to the late ’70s.

At 72, Graham Russell shares a funny yet bittersweet story about the unexpected release of Air Supply’s legendary hit. After touring with Rod Stewart, the band used their last £20 to travel to the South of France for a last-minute music festival.

Unfortunately, Graham fell seriously ill with food poisoning and was stuck in bed for three days, missing the entire festival. While resting in his hotel, he came across a magazine with a cover that said “Lost In Love is going to be a massive hit.”

At first, he thought someone had stolen his song title. But when he flipped to Page 5, he was shocked to see a photo of himself and bandmate Russell Hitchcock. It turned out that the record company had secured the song’s license, and their debut single was already climbing the charts!
