9-Year-Old Irish Girl Nails The Classic “Don’t Rain On My Parade” Like A Diva

The “Got Talent” stage has always been full of surprises, especially when it comes to young performers with voices beyond their years. One such moment came when 9-year-old Cora Harkin stepped into the spotlight for her audition. With her angelic voice, she conquered the hearts of millions.

The talented little singer took the stage with a bold pom-pom accessory and an even bolder song choice—the iconic 1964 hit, “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” It was absolutely a risky choice.

With her petite form, she set the stage for her astonishingly powerful voice. As she began her audition, she exuded calm and confidence, and it quickly became clear why.

Cora took the classic song and made it uniquely hers, showcasing a maturity in her vocals that far exceeded her age. Her impressive control and talent left everyone in awe—she truly nailed it!

Taking on a song made famous by Barbra Streisand means stepping into seriously big shoes. As one of the most remarkable voices of the 20th century, Streisand set a high bar for vocal performance. This means that anyone brave enough to sing her songs faces a tough challenge.

But Cora nailed it. Her vocal range and skill are impressive, even surpassing many adults, let alone other kids her age.

The young girl received a thunderous standing ovation, with both the judges and audience rising to their feet. Though Cora had been calm during her performance, the applause nearly brought her to tears. She shook slightly as she thanked the audience.

“This is the second coming of Miss Barbra Streisand,” said judge Michelle Visage. “Goodness, you just commanded that stage.”

“I think we could be looking back at this clip in about 20 years’ time, and we’ll be saying, ‘Remember it all started on that show Ireland’s Got Talent?’” said Walsh. “I don’t think you realize how good you are and how good you’re gonna be.”
