The station has evolved into a cultural hotspot where musicians of all ages showcase their skills.
Whether it’s a seasoned artist or a budding prodigy, it offers a stage where music comes to life in the most delightful and surprising ways.

At Battersea Power Station, we witnessed an incredible version of Freddie Mercury’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” performed by two young boys named Zach and Cole.

Cole Lam, a 14-year-old piano prodigy from the UK, joined forces with 9-year-old Zach. That day, Zach was wandering through the mall when he spotted a public piano. Cole was nearby when Zach approached him and asked if they could play together. Cole quickly agreed, though at first, he didn’t realize just how talented Zach was.

Prepare yourself to be amazed by the wonderful collaboration in the video below, which has hit over 5M views.

Passersby started to flock to the area, drawn by the beautiful piano notes of “Bohemian Rhapsody” played by two strangers. Some onlookers unhesitatingly took out their phones to capture the impromptu performance.

The video of their performance is showered by sincere compliments such as “Unbelievable! I love their vibe together and that 9 year old boy has me speechless!! You both were amazing together!” or “Not only Freddie would be proud but all of Queen and the boy’s parents. That was a joy to listen to.”

Cole supported the young boy as he tackled the challenging song, regarded as one of the complex songs on the piano. Despite never having met before, their playing was in perfect harmony, and the duet was entirely spontaneous.
