Garner Gets Emotional Ahead Of Duet With Andrea Bocelli On Album

Jennifer Garner shared a fascinating story during her appearance on Ellen. She recounted her experience of recording the track Dormi Dormi Lullaby with the renowned Italian singer Andrea Bocelli for his special album Si Forever: The Diamond Edition.

Garner expressed her disbelief at the opportunity, calling it one of the craziest things to happen in her life. She recounted how she was approached to sing the lullaby, saying “I think they had recorded this beautiful lullaby and they wanted a more of a mom person who was less of a singer singer, so they came to me, but then it turns out I had to really sing, so I had months of lessons.”

Despite her extensive experience in show business, Garner admitted feeling extremely nervous about collaborating with such an iconic figure. She confessed to becoming emotional, even crying in the parking lot and during the recording session. To cope, she had to cover her eyes while singing.

“I was so incredibly nervous: I cried in the parking lot, I cried while I was recording it,” she said. “I had to keep my eyes covered to deal with the fact that I was even recording it!”

Garner shared that although Andrea Bocelli wasn’t physically present during the recording, his voice filled her ears through the headphones, which left her feeling uplifted and inspired to give her best performance.

Ellen joked, “Wow that’s very impressive – I’m doing a duet with him next week, but that’s very impressive that you did that!” humorously remarking on Garner’s impressive feat. However, Garner’s sincere portrayal of her nerves and emotions resonated with the audience, showcasing her vulnerability and dedication to the project.
