Tragic Loss Of Rising Music Star Andrija Cikic In Belgrade School Shooting

We all are announced that one of the victims in the Belgrade school massacre was the 14-year-old virtuoso pianist and composer Andrija Čikić.

Placido Domingo wrote, “Andrija Čikić was not only a young, vibrant, talented pianist and a brilliant musician with a promising future but also a human being from our community.”

“A youthful person full of joy and dreams. I share the pain with Virtuosos and with the inexplicable loss which the entire competition has suffered.”

On an ordinary day, tragedy struck when a 13-year-old boy opened fire in a Belgrade school, causing injuries to seven individuals and claiming the lives of nine people, including eight children. Among the victims was 14-year-old Andrija Cikic, a recognized and talented musician, who had caught the attention of Spanish conductor Placido Domingo.

Andrija’s death was part of a premeditated act by the assailant, who had a list of intended victims. Remarkably gifted in music, Andrija had started playing the piano at the age of 6 and had already garnered recognition in national and international competitions, showcasing his talents through concerts, as highlighted by Radio Classique.

The departure of Andrija is a significant loss to the world of music as the boy showcased his piano-playing talent from a young age. In the comments section of the video, people express sorrow, leaving comments to convey condolences for this untimely departure.

Some are deeply moved, writing, “Rest in peace angel you can now play piano everytime you want with other angels there. We love you so much. I hope you can see people are supporting you again and rest in peace with God and other angels.”
