This Man Sings FOUR Different Voices In His Original Acapella Gospel, Devoting His Song To God

G. Michael Eldridge impresses with his solo a cappella in ‘Hear My Cry,’ his original gospel song.

Not only is he a man devoted to God, but Michael is also an exceptional singer, who has an impressive vocal range and a knack for acapella singing. He uploads several music videos on the Internet, where he makes several acapella renditions of famous gospel and country songs, and has earned a huge chunk of audience for his channel.

While normal gospel songs need at least more than two people to perform, Michael only needs himself. Thanks to his wide range and unique voice, Michael can sing up to four different voices, before using his computer to edit everything together. The result is always astonishing: a full-fledged acapella song with Michael singing four different parts. The man doesn’t need any external voices, as he’s the whole choir himself.

Every note Eldridge touches, from the soaring highs to the deepest lows, is executed with such precision that it’s hard not to join in and sing along. His mastery over both the light, ethereal falsetto, and the rich, resonant baritone is evident throughout the performance. For those really listening, the distinct shifts in vocal range are a treat to your ears. Here’s another acapella cover Michael made that you also might want to check out.

Michael doesn’t do just covers, either, he also performs his own original songs. ‘Hear My Cry’ is one of them.

The track serves as a heartfelt plea to the divine in moments of struggle, articulating the need to turn to God when we’re engulfed in sorrow and despair. Through Eldridge’s rendition, we’re reminded of a comforting truth: God is intimately familiar with our anguish. He invites us to lay our burdens before Him, offering reassurance that in our loneliest hours, we’re in fact never isolated; God’s presence is a constant, ready to lend an ear.

Michael’s journey into music started early, joining voices with his family in church hymns. His true calling in music became apparent during his college years at Purdue, where joining a Glee club opened up a new world of vocal exploration. A pivotal moment came when a friend introduced him to an app capable of merging multiple video layers, leading to the creation of the unique presentation seen in ‘Hear Me Cry’.

This discovery was the catalyst for his YouTube channel, which quickly filled up with a variety of layered vocal performances, each gaining more traction than the one before. You can check out his YouTube channel here.
