Many might not know that after a long period of 27 years, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones took the stage together once again, putting on an incredible performance of their iconic song “Kashmir.” The addition of Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, the original drummer of Led Zeppelin, added a poignant touch to the live rendition.

The live performance of “Kashmir” at the O2 in London garnered an astounding 153 million views, sparking conversations among fans about the significance and power of this long-awaited reunion.

A YouTube viewer commented, “This live version is even more powerful than on Physical Graffiti. Plant’s voice only got better and has more of an edge. Jones’ keyboard work is absolutely stellar along with Page’s guitar work and add Jason Bonham on drums and what you have is a complete masterpiece!”

Another continued, “Pounding, thumping, driving drums on this audio. Gonzo would have been so proud. These guys are the absolute best. My life, in so many ways, is defined by the sound of Led Zeppelin.”

This rendition of “Kashmir” holds immense importance for several reasons. Firstly, it showcased Led Zeppelin’s ability to seamlessly blend rock with various musical influences, highlighting their versatility as a band. Secondly, the song itself holds a special place in the hearts of fans, with many considering it a true masterpiece, making it a perfect choice for a reunion performance.

Lastly, Jason Bonham’s presence on the drums added an emotional layer to the performance, serving as a tribute not only to Ahmet Ertegun but also to his father, John Bonham, whose untimely passing in 1980 led to the band’s disbandment.
