Bee Gees’ Barry Gibb And Niece Samantha Shared Touching Duet Honoring Her Late Dad

The Gibb family might just be the most exceptionally talented family in the world, as evidenced by the chart-topping success of the Bee Gees brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb over the years. However, their incredible musical abilities are not limited to just the brothers.

This was made evident when Samantha Gibb, the 34-year-old daughter of the late Bee Gees bassist Maurice Gibb, joined her uncle Barry on stage to perform the beloved Bee Gees classic โ€œHow Can You Mend a Broken Heart?โ€

Samantha, the daughter of the late Maurice Gibb, joined Barry on stage at the Wells Fargo Centre in Philadelphia on May 19, 2014 for a heartfelt duet. Before their performance, the pair embraced on stage, and Barry introduced the song by saying,โ€œWeโ€™re going to sing a song that is our favorite, and certainly one of her dadโ€™s favorites, and we hope you like it.โ€

Watch the heart-warming performance in the video below:

The ballad took on a heartfelt tribute to Maurice, who tragically passed away at the age of 53 on January 12, 2003, following complications from surgery. Samantha took the lead in the opening verse, beautifully singing Skeeter Davis’s iconic song โ€œThe End of the World,โ€ which captures the deep pain of losing a loved one. It’s evident that Samantha inherited her father’s immense talent as she skillfully transformed the country pop melody into a soulful R&B rendition.

Barry then joined in, seamlessly transitioning into โ€œHow Can You Mend a Broken Heart?โ€ which shares a similar theme of heartache. Samantha took on the second verse of this Bee Gees classic, infusing it with her own soulful interpretation. The duo then harmonized in the chorus, creating a truly breathtaking moment that touched the hearts of all who listened.
