4-Year-Old Piano Prodigy Evan Le Blew Crowd Away With His Incredible Skills

At just four years old, Evan Le wowed audiences with his extraordinary piano skills on Little Big Shots. The young prodigy from Torrance, California, left everyone in awe as he flawlessly performed Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee,” a piece known for its speed and complexity.
Despite having only played for three months, Evan displayed an instinctive talent far beyond his years. He found his passion at a music store where his parents took him to. He could hear a piece once and instantly replicate it.
His talent went far beyond simply playing—he was also a composer, having already written five original pieces. Harvey couldn’t help but joke about how Evan’s gift made everyone else feel inadequate, even playfully apologizing to his own kids. He said he failed them as a father, unlike Evan’s parents.
Evan’s musical journey began in the most unexpected way. Born into a family with no musical background, he had no formal introduction to music—until a simple toy changed everything. When his older brother, Brandon, received a toy keyboard, it was meant to be just another plaything.
But while Brandon pounded on the keys with excitement, two-year-old Evan approached it differently. He pressed each key carefully, listening closely to the sounds, pausing between notes as if trying to understand them. His curiosity only grew, and before long, the toy keyboard was replaced with a real piano.
By the time he was three, Evan was picking up nursery rhymes by ear, first playing with one hand, then both. His natural ability became undeniable, and in 2014, he began formal lessons at Virtuosos Russian Music Academy.
Now studying under Miss Claudia Yun Xi, Evan has developed an astonishing gift—his perfect pitch and lightning-fast memorization set him apart as a truly exceptional young pianist.
