Ready To Be Blown Away By 93-Year-Old Woman’s Breathtaking Rendition Of “One Day At A Time”

You still remember The Box Tops, the band rising to fame in the late ’60s and early ’70s? This rock band was a leading blue-eyed soul group of that era, earning several top-40 hits with songs like “The Letter” and “Cry Like a Baby.” Gary Tally, the lead guitarist of the band, also took the world by storm.

After establishing a strong reputation with The Box Tops, Gary moved to Atlanta to further his music career. Over the years, he played with notable musicians such as Jerry Butler, Billy Lee Riley, and Hank Ballard. However, one person stands out above all for Gary: his mother, Nita Talley.

They sing “One Day At A Time” and since the video of their duet was uploaded on YouTube, it quickly went viral.

This heartwarming scene features a lovely lady sitting beside her son as he strums his guitar. As she starts singing, it’s clear that age is just a number. Her voice, both rich and controlled, is simply enchanting. A younger woman then joins in, and their harmonies add depth and emotion to the performance.

The video has hit over 5.8M views and was showered with sincere compliments like “What a beautiful voice at 93. How her son adores his mom and how beautiful the young lady harmonizes. Beautiful to listen to.”

Many notice Gary’s facial expression. He seems to be a pool of tears of pride, joy, happiness and all those beautiful feelings that only Nita can put in his heart.

This is additional information. In 2020, Gary Talley began featuring his 93-year-old mother, Nita Talley, in a series of YouTube videos. Their duets, especially the classic gospel tunes performed with Belinda Lee Leslie, were turned into CDs. Part of the proceeds from these sales goes to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Gary’s father, Charles Talley.
