Time and again, “Got Talent” shows have showcased remarkable talents, but one young singer on Britain’s Got Talent not only astonished the judges and audience with his voice, leaving judges and the audience visibly moved, some even brought to tears immediately.
Malakai Bayoh, a 13-year-old, captivated the stage during his 2023 BGT audition with the classic Latin song “Pie Jesu” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, famously known for launching Charlotte Church’s career.
“Pie Jesu” is a stunning hymn known for its soprano demands and challenging vocal leaps. When performed skillfully, it possesses a mesmerizing, almost ethereal quality. Malakai delivered a remarkable rendition.
With his angelic voice, he left both the BGT studio audience and viewers at home spellbound. Tears welled up among those present, and even the typically hard-to-impress Simon Cowell couldn’t help but smile throughout Malakai’s performance.
