10-Year-Old Becomes Youngest Golden Buzzer Winner On BGT With Self-Penned Original Song
Many people think that ten is too young to achieve something remarkable. However, the world is full of young talents in various fields whom others admire and respect for their extraordinary abilities, accomplishing feats that few can. Giorgia Borg from Malta is one such example.
Despite her very young age, ten-year-old Giorgia Borg dared to walk over the BGT stage, singing in front of the crowd. She performed her self-penned original song “Ten,” a touching melody about how “some parents don’t listen to you” and won over all judges and the audience.
The moment she started singing, the entire audience was in shock, wondering how a ten-year-old girl could have such a powerful voice.
Watching this video, it’s clear that the astonishment never fades throughout her performance. Many looked as if their jaws were about to hit the floor. Judging by the expressions on the judges’ faces, it was certain Borg would advance to the next round.
But the outcome exceeded all expectations.
One by one, the other judges showered the young talent with praise. Unable to contain her excitement any longer, Alesha finally pressed the golden buzzer, sending Giorgia straight to the live semi-finals.
“You’re not even real, congratulations,” Dixon said. “It takes a lot to really really move me, and you flawed me, like absolutely flawed me. Your vocal capability, your lyrical capability, you are 10-years-old! This is unbelievable, you are a star. You have the best personality as well, I love everything about you. Congratulations.”
Giorgia Borg was on cloud nine. “I felt like I was in a dream. I was very excited and couldn’t believe it was actually happening,” Giorgia said.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to be on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. I just can’t believe it has come true! It’s my favorite show, and I have been watching it since I can remember.”
